Showing that you care and have honored the life of the deceased can be achieved by the flowers you send. Flowers have been widely accepted during the funeral process for centuries. Your flower colors carry individual meaning. Bright colored flowers describe a fruitful life and convey the happiness of memories. Pure white flowers bring with them the feelings of purity, peace, grace and loyalty. Roses express undying love; especially red roses. For a more masculine tone, try earth tones; for a soft feminine touch pale colored flowers do the trick.
Trying to select your florist is yet another hard choice for a grieving family to make, and can be avoided before a funeral. A willing florist will work with you to understand your needs and wants. A lot of times all it takes is a phone call to a good florist to help them understand your difficult time. A good florist will listen to what you tell them and be able to make suggestions into the best ideas to create the color and arrangement to portray your feelings. You may never have to even step inside a flower shop.
There are some people that give flowers with out understanding exactly why we give flowers during a funeral. It’s been done for so long that it’s a tradition to be followed, but when you understand what exactly giving flowers means during a funeral it takes on a whole new meaning, and will make you want to do your best to make sure the flowers you select are the type of flowers you want to send with a message from your heart.
A florist will not let you make the mistakes of trying to put together a funeral arrangement that ends up with a gaudy look or ends up being too flashy for a funeral. A florist will guide you by listening to your wants and desires and put together an arrangement that best portrays your feelings. If the florist is unwilling to help you or understand the meaning you are trying to get cross in your arrangement then its best to keep shopping around for a florist that will listen and understand you.
